What is an accident detector?
An accident notification system is an intelligent safety system for motorcycles that automatically detects falls or serious accidents and organises help independently in an emergency. Modern systems use integrated motion sensors, gyroscopes and GPS technology to reliably identify sudden changes in position, strong vibrations or impacts. If an accident is detected, an emergency routine starts automatically – including location transmission and notification of defined contacts or an emergency call centre.
An automatic accident notification system is particularly important for motorcyclists. Unlike cars, there is no protective bodywork or standard eCall systems. If a fall occurs on a remote route or during a solo ride, valuable time can pass before help arrives. How does an automatic motorcycle emergency call system (eCall) work?
The accident detector continuously monitors movement data such as acceleration, change in position, and impact forces while driving. If the system detects a typical accident pattern, an emergency call is automatically triggered – including precise GPS position data. This way, quick help can be organized, even if you are no longer able to react yourself.

A cellular connection is required to transmit the location data. Therefore, a subscription is necessary to enable data communication and connection to the emergency call structure.
